Ar Lan y Môr celebrates the beauty, atmosphere and enduring connection we have with the Welsh coastline. Inspired by the sea in all its forms, the exhibition brings together a diverse collection of original artwork exploring coastal landscapes, seascapes, wildlife, harbours, changing light and the memories and emotions that the sea evokes.
Featuring work across painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media, the exhibition reflects the many ways artists interpret life beside the sea—from peaceful moments of reflection to the power and movement of the waves.
Alongside our exhibiting artists, we are delighted to welcome guest artist Zara Kuchi, whose contemporary realist paintings bring a fresh perspective to the exhibition through their expressive use of light, atmosphere and portraiture.
Whether inspired by a favourite coastal walk, the rhythm of the tides, or the colours of the changing horizon, Ar Lan y Môr invites visitors to experience the richness and diversity of Wales' coastal landscape through the eyes of its artists.
We hope you enjoy discovering the stories, places and moments that make Ar Lan y Môr a celebration of our shared connection to the sea.
